puppy update

So sorry for not updating sooner. I have had several emails and calls to find out if all is ok.

We had 5 pups born. 3 girls and 2 boys. I was surprised because Sadie looked bigger then last year and last year she had 7. Looks like sadie may have enjoyed eating for several

The reason I have not updated is one of the little girls is not doing so well and all my energy has been spent looking after her. I have had her under my shirt keeping her warm or sitting with her while she is nursing frm Sadie. Hard to type with one hand and my mind has been occupied with her.
The other 4 are little monsters and are already pushing and shoving to eat from what must be the only nipple Sadie has !! Right now they look like a big pile vying for the best spot.
So please keep little pink girl in your thoughts and prayers.

puppies outside in the snow

We had a good dumping of snow last night. It was pretty cold so I was not going to bring them outside. They were really interested in going out so I took them out to the side of the house. They ran around and enjoyed it for about 5 minutes. They are now sound asleep :-)

The pups are 3 weeks old and boy are they changing day by day. They can see and hear and walk and play. They know my voice and start screaming for me to sit and cuddle with them. They are playing with toys and the best thing !!! They are using the paper to go to the bathroom. They have tasted real food and love it ! I cant beleive 3 weeks have gone by already. They are growing like little weeds. They weigh between 3 .8 lbs and 5 lbs with most being 4lbs. Enjoy the pictures

Every day the pups are more interactive

The pups are becomming so much fun. They come to you and climb in your lap for cuddles. They are going to the paper to go to the washroom.

It is funny to watch them try and play with each other. They growl and bite on each other and fall over and just make me laugh all day. It is even harder to get something done now.

I can feel their teeth coming in. Wont be long until Sadie is not as happy to stay with them all the time

More puppy pictures

I love sending taking pictures of the pups. They are such great subjects. Well what else will I talk about and take pictures of seeing as I spend 24 hours a day with them. They are so funny. Ms pink is very voacal and lets me know she is starving and I should make sure she has food available at all times and why is her mother not delivarying this. They are toddling all over the whelping box now. Heaven help me in a couple of weeks when they are really mobile lol. They are roly poly little furballs. Enjoy the pictures I loved taking them and sharing them. There will be more tomorrow :-)

Puppy update

The pups are doing great. They had lost a little weight in the beginning but have now put it back on. I swear they wait until I get into bed to start whining and moving all over. Maybe Sadie encourages them so I dont get to sleep !! I hear every noise they make and have to sit up and look to see if all is well. Needless to say I am a little tired. Sadie is a wonderful mom and washes then until they complain. I have taken lots of pictures . I will update the pictures daily and include them in the puppy album. Savannah and Heidi feel left out. Heidi sat in my store with my friend on Saturday and whined and complained. She let her know it was not ok to not be the baby anymore :-) I love holding them and listening to all their little snuffles . Enjoy the pictures
