puppies day 2

Some cute pictures of the pups and how they sleep. The one of them alltogether only has 6 of them ! Sadie so wants to be with the pups that she pulled out her pig toy. She carries it around in her mouth and lays with it too. She is a good grandma. Kramer meeting the pups. It was so funny he licked the pup and it peed. Well he started foaming and spitting it out. Kramer does not do clean up lol.

Look how sweet they are. Be prepared to either be in heaven with so many pictures or bored to tears lol. They are really great babies and Emma is an amazing mom. Emma and I are both sleep deprived. She is nursing 12 and I have seperated them into 2 groups of 6. This way everyone has a chance to eat well. In 24 hrs all pups put on weight. That is great considering the size of the litter

First pup is a whopping boy at 1lb 8 oz  he was starving and had his paw in his mouth before he was completely born !

A big pile of puppies

On Sunday September 11th Emma gave birth to 12 beautiful Leo puppies.  They are huge considering there are 12 of them.  We have 4 that were 1lb 8oz and 7 who are 1lb 4oz. One smaller girl of a pound. They are now 24 hrs old and already their collars feel a bit snug.  ! I have not weighed them because after being up more then 24 hours I dont think my eyes could focus on the scale.  I have them seperated into 2 groups of 6. Oh there are 6 boys and 6 girls !  Emma is a fabulous mom and thankfully here milk is already in and the pups are satisfied. Sadie so wants to help and I know she would try and nurse them. She lays beside the whelping box all the time.  I am sleeping (haha) in the whelping room with them and get up to switch them every hour.  

I took more pictures today and will update the blog as much as possible. So keep checking back for new pictures

IT has been so long since I posted. Sorry as so much has gone on here. For now lets start with the exciting news. Emma and Kramer are having a litter ! Emma is due on September 14th so only 1 more week to go. She is 6 and 7 weeks in these pictures. She looks pretty big. I will keep the blog hopping with pictures when she has them. It has not slowed her down at all.

Whenever we have kittens Sadie is right there sniffing and licking them from the beginning. They in turn love her. She is the one they run too and play with and as you can see find a way to cuddle with her. I saw them like this today and was so happy I was able to catch the moment

I find it amazing how much the kittens are attracted to Sadie, They like the other dogs but adore her. This little one was playing with her ear and licking her face. As you can see Sadie loves them too :-) So sweet I had to share
