This picture shows how much shorter stubby's tail is the the rest. He will always be special to me. He is a big boy with a short tail. not bor that way but I pulled off part of his tail trying to get him out. He was stuck it was a life or death situation. If I did not get him out fadt he would have died and Emma would have eeded a C section. Happy to say the vet looked at it and fixed it up and he just has a shorter tail.

My escape artist already. She climbs out when it is not her turn and joins the other bunch for some food

puppy update

Well having 13 pups is keeping busy so not a lot of time to write.  Here are a few pictures from a couple of days ago. The first couple are of Emma and the 13 babies together. It is a puppy pile. Then one all snuggled in his bed waiting his turn for dinner. I have them seperated into two groups. they each get 45 mintutes with mom then I switch the groups. I do this 24 hrs a day. Sleep is a luxury right now lol.  I nap inbetween feedings for 20 min or so.   They have not done any real gaining this week. It took Emma a few days for her milk to come in and some pups lost a few oz. They are back up to their birth weights now so the weight gain begins  . Emma is a trooper. Poor thing has no free time at a. She gets 15 minutes an hour.  I will take more pictures today and post as soon as I can. They all look the same for now. Puppies day 3

Well the plan to post every day has not worked out so well. Who knew 13 puppies could take up so much time. !! 
Enjoy the pictures. The ones with grandma Sadie are my favourite.  She loves puppies so much. Sadie has not left Emma's side since she started having the pups. She lays beside the whelping box and just stares at the babies. Today while Emma was outside she took the opportunity to come in and visit with the babies. 
The babies are eating in shifts. No way could she feed 12 at the same time. So we have a group of 7 and a group of 6.  Makes for a long night swictching them every 45 minutes.

We are up to 10 puppies

Puppies are arriving

Well Emma could not wait another day. I had hoped for one more day to get everything in order tomorrow. Nope she wanted things done her way lol

At 11:20 pm tonight Emma had the first pup. A boy. He is 1.4lbs and very active. Started nursing right away. It will be a long night and I will post updates as they arrive

Were expecting puppies

Emma and Kramer are expecting puppies on November 23rd.  It has been so long since I wrote. There is  lot to catch up with .  With the puppies on the way there will be lots to write about and many puppy pictures to share.

Hard to believe the pups from my last litter are now 14 months old. they are no longer little fluffy cuties they are now big and gorgeous.
